Buzz!™: The Hollywood Quiz
We've wanted to make a Movies version of Buzz!™ ever since we started working on the very first game. In fact, it was on the trailer in the original music quiz. Movies is one of those subjects that everyone seems to store an inordinate amount of trivia on. Do you remember the name of the robotic shark from Jaws? Who is Drew Barrymore's godfather? Whatever happened to Chunk from The Goonies?
It's was a fun game to make too. When drawing on inspiration for a Hollywood game you don't have to look very far. If you imagined Buzz!™ at the Oscars then you have some idea of the direction we took: out goes the TV studio and in come the dancing girls, the red velvet curtains, the search lights and the statuettes. Of course (lawyers take note), Buzz!™ isn't at the Oscars themselves, but at a similarly auspicious ceremony nearby.
Our Hollywood game included a mix of old and new rounds and contestants. It was released in Christmas 2007 across Europe and America.
